D.C. Fire and the FBI responded to a report of a suspicious powder at a restaurant in downtown D.C. Tuesday afternoon.
Hazmat crews determined that the powder found inside Aria Pizzeria & Bar was not hazardous. No one was hospitalized.
Hazmat responded to a report of a letter with an unknown substance at a restaurant on F Street NW Monday evening. F was closed between Ninth and 10th streets while hazmat investigated the letter at Amorini Panini. It was taken to a lab for further analysis.
White powder letters have also surfaced in Texas, New England and New York Monday and Tuesday.
