A suspect has been arrested after a young girl and four men were injured in a shooting at a busy bus stop in Southeast D.C.
The men and the elementary-school-age girl were shot about 5:15 p.m. Monday in the 2300 block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE, according to the police report. They suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
D.C. police said Wednesday that 30-year-old Ronnell Rashicke Offutt, of Southwest D.C., was arrested and charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.
"There were 20-30 people waiting at that bus stop," D.C. police Cmdr. Durriyyah Habeebullah previously said.
The girl was conscious and breathing when she was taken to a hospital.
The men who were shot ran from the scene and were found at four different locations, including a hospital.
