An arrest has been made in a bank robbery where the suspect shouted "Merry Christmas" before fleeing, police said.
Tori Kay Pollard, 34, of Spotsylvania County, Va., was arrested Tuesday night after a detective recognized her from a previous case, Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Lt. Col Michael Timm said.
The bank robbery charges stemmed from a Dec. 1 holdup at a Virginia Commerce Bank branch in Spotsylvania and a Dec. 20 robbery of a SunTrust Bank branch in Hanover County. Timm said a search of Pollard's home turned up items allegedly used in both robberies.
At the end of the Dec. 1 robbery, the culprit shouted "Merry Christmas" before leaving.
Pollard is being held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail. Timm said Wednesday he didn't know whether Pollard had an attorney.
