The victim, 59, was hit by a silver Honda on Old Georgetown Road near Vista Road, according to Montgomery County Police. The driver remained on the scene.
Investigators at the scene report that the man was in a lane of traffic and not in a crosswalk or intersection when he was hit.

This accident comes just a day after six other pedestrians -- including three school-aged children -- were injured by vehicles around the D.C. area.
