The suspected driver who fled a fatal collision in Brandywine last week has been identified by police, who obtained a warrant for his arrest.
Police said Bryant Christopher Lewis, 23, of Shirl Court in Clinton, was driving a stolen Ford Mustang that crashed into a utility pole July 17, killing one passenger and injuring the other.
Brendan Munnerlyn, 23, of Myrtle Oak Court in Waldorf, was pronounced dead at the scene and a second passenger was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Police said Lewis fled the scene on foot.
