The chairs and pews are out, while colorful lights, a carnival and yoga mats are coming into northwest D.C.'s National Cathedral for a week of "Seeing Deeper."
From Monday, Feb. 5 to Friday, Feb. 9, the National Cathedral will host a variety of nightly events that allow visitors to see the church in a new light.
Each event has a suggested donation of $5 per person or $10 per household, the website says.
The National Cathedral is an Episcopal church. Anyone is welcome to attend the events.
On Monday, visitors can soak in one of three light shows illuminating the cathedral's main hall. Shows begin at 6:30 p.m., 7:15 p.m. and 8 p.m. and last for 45 minutes.
Yogis can work on their downward-facing dog with an all-levels yoga class on Tuesday. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for stretching and meditation ahead of a 7 p.m. yoga class led by Flow Yoga Center instructors. The evening will end with a "sound bath meditation," and you could stay until 9 p.m.

Kids will be excited by Wednesday's carnival night at the National Cathedral. Organizers promise games, prizes, popcorn, scavenger hunts and more. Plus, the original lights and music will add to the special atmosphere.
Spiritually-minded people can head to the cathedral Thursday for a "cosmic mass," where participants of all faiths can listen to music and dance.
"Call it a rave in the nave. Without the drugs," the event's website says.
Life-sized puppets, a DJ, song leaders and religious leaders focused on spiritual healing will set the tone for an experience most visitors don't find at the Gothic church.
Looking for a cheap Friday night outing? Bring a picnic for indoor screenings of two family-friendly movies. "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" begins at 6 p.m. and "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" will begin at 8:30 p.m. Bring something comfy to sit on, but organizers ask you to leave alcohol, glass and chairs at home.
