Montgomery County has completed a county-wide security review of all of its public schools after a 14-year-old girl said she was raped inside Rockville High School earlier this year.
The final elementary schools awaiting review are now complete, a school official said. Some details of what was found remain confidential, because it affected security.
But the school system was advised to hire more women and biligual people to security positions, according to a school district report reviewed by News4.
Two boys were accused of raping a 14-year-old girl in a bathroom inside the high school in March.
The reported crime horrified local parents and became national news after the White House called it an example of why President Donald Trump is cracking down on illegal immigration.
Prosecutors eventually dropped the charges against both boys, because the evidence did not support the victim's claim.
