Montgomery Co. Councilman Wants a New Stop on the Red Line

BETHESDA, Md. -- Montgomery County Councilman Roger Berliner wants a new stop on Metro's Red Line to help urbanize the transit system in the county.

The stop would be between the Grosvenor-Strathmore and White Flint stations.

"Our Red Line in that part of Montgomery County is a very suburban model," Berliner told WTOP. "We need for Montgomery County to have a much more urbanized Metro system."

Berliner envisions Arlington's Rosslyn-Clarendon-Ballston corridor as what he'd like to see along Rockville Pike, WTOP reported.
