Metro Service Temporarily Cut on Parts of 3 Lines Due to Power Problem

Portions of service on Metro's Blue, Orange and Silver lines were disrupted Wednesday afternoon because of a power problem at the Foggy Bottom station in D.C., officials say.

Train service later resumed, but delays remained.

Blue Line trains only operated between Franconia-Springfield and Arlington Cemetery. It later was restored.

Orange Line and Silver Line service was temporarily suspended between Court House and Farragut West. It later was restored.

The trouble follows the separation of a rail car on Saturday and trains traveling on the wrong tracks on both Monday and Tuesday.
