A soldier from Wicomico County who was killed in Afghanistan will be laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery.
The Daily Times of Salisbury reported Sgt. Maj. Wardell B. Turner, 48, of Nanticoke, will be buried Monday at the cemetery outside Washington.
The Pentagon announced Turner was killed Nov. 24 in Kabul when a vehicle carrying an improvised explosive device attacked his vehicle. Spc. Joseph W. Riley, 27, of Grove City, Ohio, also was killed in the incident.
