The Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a deadly shooting Saturday morning.
The shooting happened at a home in the 100 block of Early Street.
Investigators said the problem began with a heated argument between Jason Jett and Lawrence Dale Toler, II. The fight allegedly escalated and the two men struggled over a gun. The firearm discharged twice, hitting Jett and another person.
Jett was taken to Mary Washington Hospital and pronounced dead. The second victim was treated for a superficial wound and released.
Toler turned himself into police custody and was charged with second-degree murder.
The investigation is still continuing.
