A man has been arrested on charges he gunned down a 24-year-old earlier this summer in the Park View neighborhood of Northwest D.C.
Sean Green, 24, was arrested Monday on charges he shot and killed Derrick Black on July 30. Black, also 24, died after being shot several times about 9:30 p.m. July 30 on the 3300 block of Georgia Avenue NW.
He loved playing basketball and video games with his young cousins, his mother, Dolores Black, told News4's Meagan Fitzgerald.
"He loved the people," she said through tears. "I don't know why nobody would do that to him."
Green was charged with first-degree murder while armed. The Metropolitan Police Department did not immediately release information on how he was identified or located.
