KKK recruitment flyers were Found in Loudon County again Friday, the same week as flyers were found in Alexandria and Arlington.
Police found more than a dozen of the flyers in plastic bags weighed down with birdseed on Amelia Street in Sterling, Virginia.
“I’m not real happy about it, and I’m surprised that it would be in this neighborhood,” Sterling resident Paul Leach said.
Another neighbor who didn’t want to be identified said she hopes police catch the people responsible.
“I think it’s absolutely disgusting,” she said. “We do not have room for that in our neighborhood, in our state, in our country, in our lives.”
Loudoun County Sheriff Mike Chapman said while his office wants to put a stop to it, the flyers don’t contain any actual threats.
“I find it personally offensive,” he said. “I’m sure anyone that would read it would also find it offensive. The problem is whether it’s illegal or not.”

The sheriff’s office asked neighbors with surveillance cameras to turn in their video.
Leach shared another suggestion.
“Maybe somebody should respond to one of the KKK fliers and then find out who’s doing this,” he said.
“We don’t need this, we don’t want it, we don’t want you here, we don’t want this kind of thing going on,” Chapman said.
Rep. Barbara Comstock (R) wrote an open letter to Attorney General Jeff Sessions about it asking him to set up a task force to prevent acts of hatred like this around the country.
