A 12-year-old boy is facing charges after allegations that he sexually assaulted two elementary school girls on board a Fairfax County school bus.
County police said the investigation began on Nov. 13 when two students from Camelot Elementary School in Annandale told their parents that a boy assaulted them on the bus.
The Major Crimes Bureau investigated, and the boy, who police did not name, was charged with aggravated sexual battery and object sexual penetration.
The boy was processed at the Fairfax County Juvenile Detention Center. He was released to a parent.
It wasn't immediately clear if the boy was back at school.
