D.C. police are investigating human remains discovered in the 500 block of Malcolm X Avenue SE.
The Metropolitan Police Department confirmed Wednesday that U.S. Park Police discovered human remains in the area.
Police said the medical examiner responded. Officers said they did not know how long the remains had been in the area before they were discovered.
