Here Are Pat Collins' Best Moments at the World Series

News4's Pat Collins is covering the World Series as only Pat Collins can: with props, a legal pad and unforgettable delivery.

Here are Pat's best moments as D.C. roots for the Nationals.

"It is time to giddy up," Pat told us in Houston, wearing a white cowboy hat with a big, red curly W on the front. Pat got the hat before Game 1 against the Astros. He tried on cowboy boots and a "snazzy" belt buckle, too.

In Houston, Pat sampled some Texas barbecue.

"Tom Sietsema, you might want to put this on your to-do list," he raved to the Washington Post food critic.

You can't talk about Texas without talking about barbecue, beef and Tex Mex, of course. That's exactly what Pat Collins set out to try during his World Series trip to Houston.

Pat also met Nats first baseman Ryan Zimmerman, who was excited to get a photo with him. Zimmerman said his wife is a lifelong News4 fan. Pat got Zim to sign his cowboy hat.

“Tell your wife she has very good taste — she likes me and she married you,” Collins joked.

Our own Pat Collins is a news hero to many -- including the Nationals' Ryan Zimmerman. Collins spoke about their meeting at the Astros' Minute Maid Park and what it meant to him.

Back in D.C. for Game 3, Pat dropped in on some pregame parties outside Nationals Park and passed out NBC4/Telemundo 44 shark hats to fans.
