Windy conditions made a raging fire hard to extinguish Sunday night, Prince George's County fire officials said.
Firefighters were called to the 10900 block of Mariner Drive in Fort Washington at 9:30 p.m.
Fire officials say the home is near the Potomac River, and strong winds made the fire hard to fight.
No one was inside the home when the fire started. No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
