Expect Scattered Showers Throughout Monday, With a Chance of Storms

Monday got off to a dreary start, and you can expect that dreariness to continue throughout the day. Expect scattered showers all day with low clouds, mist, drizzle and areas of fog.

The region will have a big spread in temperatures Monday, with areas north and west of D.C. topping out in the mid 70s, but spots south and east in the lower to mid 80s.

By Monday afternoon, a cold front will approach from the west, bringing a chance of some storms into the region through the late evening. We could have some flooding through the evening that Storm Team4 will keep an eye on.

Any showers will move out by the Tuesday morning commute, with winds picking up. Temperatures on Tuesday will stay in the upper 70s to near 80 with a northwest breeze gusting up to 25 mph.

Wednesday will start out day with partly sunny skies and highs in the upper 70s. Another disturbance will push through our area Thursday, bringing another chance of rain and storms to the region.
