The driver of a dump truck was killed Thursday morning after the truck overturned on a Maryland road.
Trashawn Haggins, 28, of Falls Church, Virginia, was driving east on White House Road when she apparently lost control of the truck on a curve and struck a utility pole near Harry S Truman Drive in Upper Marlboro, Prince George's County Police said.
Fire officials said live power lines wrapped around the truck, and PEPCO had to be called to the scene to de-energize the lines.
Haggins was pronounced dead at the scene.
Prince George's County Police is investigating why Haggins lost control of the truck.
