A family in Maryland was displaced on Tuesday night after a house fire ripped through their Waldorf home.
The incident happened at 3245 Indian King Court at 2:30 p.m. More than 40 firefighters responded to a blaze at a single-family home owned by Allen Hicks.
After an investigation, officials determined the fire began in the home's bedroom. The State Fire Marshall's Office said a four-year-old child set fire to a mattress in the bedroom.
The fire caused $100,000 of damage. No injuries were reported. The Red Cross has been assisting the displaced family.
