The body of a woman who disappeared from Burtonsville, Maryland, nearly two months ago was found in an icy pond less than a mile from where she was last seen, Montgomery County police say.
Kristin Danielle Bessix was found dead Wednesday in a pond on the 14200 block of Ballinger Terrace. The pond is less than a mile away from Bessix was last seen Nov. 9.
Police say Bessix's friends last saw her in the area of Castle Boulevard, and no one was able to get in contact with her after that.
Her family reported her missing Nov. 22.
Police say Bessix's cause and manner of death are pending.
No further information was released.
