A woman was rescued after she slipped and fell along the Virginia side of the Potomac River.
She injured herself on the rocks near the American Legion Bridge and was unable to get herself back up.
Rescue crews carried the woman up the slope to the GW Parkway, where a medic was waiting for her.
She is expected to be OK.
