Woman Files Suit Against D.C. Police Officer Accused of Rape

A woman filed a $6 million civil lawsuit against a D.C. police officer and the D.C. government.

Sasha Evans’s lawyer filed the suit Thursday claiming Officer Larry Seay raped Evans on several occasions in 2010.

A grand jury indicted Seay in July 2011. He is accused of using a gun while forcing sex acts on three other women in 2006. He allegedly approached the victims in full uniform while on duty and ordered them to follow him to a secluded area where he would threaten to arrest them and then sexually assault them, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office.

His trial is scheduled for June.
