Widespread Rain Showers Soak DC Sunday

Remnants from Tropical Storm Nestor continue to bring rain to the D.C. area

Much-needed rain soaked the D.C. region for most of the day Sunday.

Most of the area will be dry by about 10 p.m., Storm Team4's Somara Theodore said. As the rain tapers off, the winds will kick up and it will be a breezy night with lows in the low 50s, Theodore said.

Monday will be beautiful with plenty of sunshine, dry conditions and high temps nearing 70, Theodore said.

Rain is likely again on Tuesday around the mid-afternoon and will begin earlier farther west.
