Surveillance video shows men enter and demand money

Two men in ski masks pulled out handguns and robbed a 7-11 in the Northeast section of the District early Wednesday, according to D.C. police.

The robbery happened at Rhode Island Avenue and 20th Street at about 1:35 a.m., when two men, both wearing ski masks and hoodies, took out guns as they entered the convenience store.

One of the men then forced a shopper into a corner. The other demanded money from the cashier.

A surveillance camera above the cash register recorded the events.

Police are offering up to $10,000 for information that helps them arrest and convict the suspects. Police say one is a black male, with a skinny build, about 20 years old, and 5 feet, 7 inches tall. He was wearing a black sweatshirt, jeans and red and black gloves.

The other is a black male, with a skinny build, 5 feet, 11 inches tall and wearing a black jacket and black gloves, according to police.

Police did not reveal how much money the men stole.
