Two Arrested for Bomb Threats at Harris Teeter Grocery Store

Two men have been charged after a series of bomb threats targeting an Alexandria, Virginia, grocery store.

Alexandria police said Dewayne Ishmell, 37, of Washington, and Melvin Kelly, 36, of Arlington, were arrested on Friday. Ishmell was charged with two counts of threats to bomb, and Kelly was charged with soliciting another to communicate threats to bomb.

Investigators said the Harris Teeter grocery store on N. St. Asaph Street received five bomb threats between April 30 and July 20. Customers and employees were evacuated on each occurrence.
