Three Slashed After Argument at 7-11

Three people were slashed during an argument in a 7-11 store in the 2000 block of 12th street in Northwest D.C. Sunday morning.

The victims suffered non-life-threatening wounds and are expected to recover.

Police said the victims got into an argument with three women in the store at 12th and U streets. When the victims left the store, the suspects attacked.

One suspect slashed all three of them with a knife, and the other suspects struck them with their shoes.

An off-duty sergeant with D.C.'s Metropolitan Police Department observed the assault and called for assistance. Police officers from the Third District arrived moments later.

Three female suspects were arrested. One suspect was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon for using a knife; the other two suspects were charged with assault with a dangerous weapon for striking them with their shoes.
