One person is in police custody after stealing a police cruiser and leading officers on a short chase in Southeast Washington Wednesday morning.
The suspect stole the police cruiser from the 600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE about 1 a.m., police say.
Officers pursued the suspect for a short distance before the suspect crashed two miles away on the 600 block of F Street SE.
Police have not released the suspect's name but say the person was arrested at the scene.
No further information has been released.
