Police: Woman Dies After Wrong-Way Crash on I-270

A 25-year-old Germantown woman has died after a crash involving a car traveling the wrong way on Interstate 270, Maryland State Police said.

Police say Erica Choi was driving a Honda Accord southbound in the northbound lanes of I-270 in Gaithersburg on Tuesday night when she hit a northbound Mercedes SUV.

Police say Choi was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Mercedes, a 38-year-old woman from Clarksburg, was taken to Suburban Hospital, but no information was available about her condition.
