The autopsy of a North Carolina teen who disappeared while visiting her half-sister in Baltimore in December has determined her death was a homicide.
The cause of 16-year-old Phylicia Barnes’s death also was determined but isn’t being released.
Phylicia’s body was found last month near the Susquehana River about 35 miles from Baltimore.
Mount Pleasant Church in Baltimore will hold a memorial service for Phylicia on May 14.
A private service is set for Saturday at the Springfield Baptist Church in Conyers, Ga. The service can be viewed online.
