    Police say a 17-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by a stranger while she was walking home last weekend.

    According to a news release, the girl was walking in the area of Powell's Creek Boulevard and Patrick Henry Road in Woodbridge around 11:30 p.m. Saturday, when a stranger approached her, pulled her into a nearby wooded area and raped her.

    Police say the victim initially told a friend about it several days later, who made her get treatment at an area hospital.

    The suspect is described as a man of possibly Hispanic origin, around 30 years old, standing 6 feet, weighing 200 pounds with a medium build and dark hair.
