A hazmat situation brought DC firefighters to Stuart-Hobson Middle School Thursday morning.
Students were complaining about burning eyes and trouble breathing when firefighters arrived at the school in the 400 block of E Street NE about noon.
Eight students and a teacher were treated and released.
It is still unclear what caused the symptoms, officials said.
