Prince George's County Police announced Saturday that they had found the body of missing University of Maryland student David Johnathan Scherr.
The 20-year-old Scherr had been missing since December 19, when he was last seen near the university's College Park campus.
Investigators say that Scherr's body was found inside a black 2013 Ford Escape that was parked in a lot near the intersection of Route 197 and Route 450 in Bowie. The death is being investigated as a suicide. No further details were immediately available.
