Metro Carjacking/Abduction Suspect Arrested

A brief pursuit ended when the suspect crashed a car

Fairfax County police have arrested a 22-year-old man in the abduction and armed carjacking of an Alexandria woman Tuesday night.

Police said a very brief pursuit ended before midnight when the Diallo Outing of Oxon Hill, Md., crashed near the intersection of Hooes Road and Furnace Road in Lorton. He tried to flee on foot, but was quickly found by a K-9 officer, police said.

Outing allegedly grabbed the 46-year-old woman at gunpoint and forced her into the trunk of her own 2010 Chevrolet Camaro at the Franconia-Springfield Metro Station shortly before 7 p.m. Tuesday.  He then drove the victim to the Lorton area and released her, unharmed, before driving off in her car, according to a police statement.

The woman told police that, upon her release, she ran to a home and called 911. From her description of the car, officers spotted the Camaro in the Lorton area and arrested Outing shortly before midnight.
