Men Use Stolen Trailer to Steal Golf Cart in Charles County, Authorities Say

Charles County Sheriff's detectives are asking for the public's help in finding the men who stole a golf cart and two trailers from a business in Waldorf.

It happened last October, but police released surveillance images of a suspect's truck just this Friday.

Police say the two men drove a large pickup truck to a business in the 11700 block of Holly Auto Center Lane, where they tried to steal an orange golf cart. They left after it didn't fit in the bed of their truck -- but that wasn't the end of their efforts.

They then swiped a trailer from another business, and returned to the first business, where they were then able to load the golf cart onto the trailer.

Police say the men were driving what appeared to be a 2000 dark green Dodge Ram Duley king cab pick-up, which was equipped with running lights on the hood and above the rear wheel well, aluminum running boards, a snow plow with snow plow lights, and aluminum toolbox in the bed of the truck.

Charles County Crime Solvers is offering cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.
