Laurel Police Seize Nearly 200 Pounds of Marijuana

    A Nevada man has been charged in connection with the discovery of 180 pounds of marijuana at a Laurel hotel.

    According to a news release from Laurel Police, a man acting suspiciously in the parking lot of a Holiday Inn Express was taken into custody and questioned Friday. As the investigation unfolded, police searched the man's hotel room in the 14400 block of Laurel Place, where they found 180 pounds of marijuana worth $540,000.

    The marijuana was packed in individual, one-pound containers.

    Victor Camarillo, 30, of Henderson, Nev. has been charged with possession with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana and importing a controlled, dangerous substance into Maryland.
