Irvin Nathan has been confirmed as the District of Columbia’s attorney general.
The D.C. Council voted unanimously to confirm Nathan on Tuesday.
Nathan was nominated to the position in December. Before becoming acting attorney general, he was general counsel of the U.S. House of Representatives and a senior litigating partner at the law firm of Arnold & Porter.
The office of the attorney general handles civil litigation for the District of Columbia as well as juvenile crime and other issues.
