A father of two young children was found dead outside his home last week, and police say neighbors should not be concerned for their safety.
Michael Cole's body was found after 9 a.m. last Friday between two parked cars in the 9400 block of Robin Lee Court. Neighbors told News4 they may have heard several gunshots earlier that morning.
Mike Rodway, a close friend of Cole's, stopped by his home Monday to drop off flowers and a cup of joe.
"I told him, the next time the coffee was on me because I hadn't seen him in a month or maybe two months,' Rodway said.
Rodway said Cole was a father to two young children and loved playing music.
"He was always good-natured," Rodway said. "He was such a good dad. He tried to do everything he could for those kids. He fought for almost two years to get custody and get some time with them."
Police say there is no reason for neighbors to be concerned for their safety following Cole's death, though no arrests have been made.
