A Maryland family of a Virginia Tech student is seeking help in locating their missing daughter, who they say is distraught and may try to harm herself.
Marie Michele Drescher was last seen by her family in Ellicott City, Md., when she departed to return to Blacksburg, Va.
Drescher, a 20-year-old, white female, would have been traveling from the family's home to Blacksburg. Her credit card was used in Knoxville, Maryland at approximately 3:30 a.m. Sunday morning, her family said.
Drescher is driving a silver Volvo SUV with Maryland license plates, 119M783.
She was last seen wearing dark jeans, a maroon t-shirt with white lettering, and dark brown, flip-flop sandals.
Anyone who sees Drescher or her car is asked to contact the Blacksburg Police at 540-961-1150, or dial 911 to contact your local police.
