DCPS Fires Investigator for Lying During Interviews

D.C. public schools fired an investigator after he lied to supervisors while investigating McKinley High School.

Eastern Stewart was looking into multiple issues at McKinley, including the alleged mishandling of a $100,000 award given to the school by AARP.

According to DCPS, Stewart lied during investigations, misleading interview subjects in order to obtain information.

Stewart confirmed to News 4 and other media sources that he did indeed lie during investigations.
