Police said a road will be closed for several hours after a car struck a pole late Saturday night in Kensington, Maryland.
Fire-Rescue spokesman Pete Piringer said the crash occurred on Connecticut Avenue near Plyers Mill Road. He said investigators don’t know why the car hit a power pole, but one person was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The pole belongs to PEPCO. The PEPCO online outage map did not report any power loss in the area.
Police said the road is expected to be closed for several hours for investigation and clean-up.
