A construction site in northwest Washington caught fire late Saturday morning.
A building was being constructed in the 2200 block of California Street, NW, when materials on the roof caught fire. Heavy smoke filled the area.
Fourteen workers at the site were able to get to safety. One person was on the roof, but used scaffolding to get to the ground.
The fire was out quickly. There are no reports of injuries.
