A 13-year-old boy has been arrested in D.C. for having a gun after police responded to a shooting, police say.
D.C. police officers responded to a shooting in the 2800 block of Connecticut Avenue NW and saw three black males walking northbound, according to a police report.
The officers stopped them and the boy, who was part of the group, said the backpack he was carrying was not his. Officers could see a gun inside the bag, the police report said. The report listed the gun as an Ekol Dicle 9mm PAK Blank Gun.
Police arrested the boy and took him to the Juvenile Processing Center.
