Temperatures haven't broken the freezing mark in two days, meaning that snow and ice are slow to melt on some secondary roads.
Much to the joy of children, some school systems are reacting to the combination of freezing temperatures and snow on the ground by calling off school for the third straight day. Other counties have delayed the start of classes, hoping an extra hour or two will leave a little time for roads to clear up.
