    Arlington County Police say several fights shut down a local awards show.

    Investigators told News4 about 1,500 people were at the DMV Awards at the Hyatt Regency Crystal City when a number of brawls broke out.

    The event, which honors local hip hop and R&B artists, had to be shut down around 9:30 p.m.

    Rescuers took five people to the hospital. No one was seriously hurt.

    Arlington County police said no arrests were made.
