A resident of the upscale neighborhood near the Tenleytown Metro station answered a knock at the door and found two masked teenagers with guns drawn.
Police say they're looking for two teen boys who robbed a resident of American University Park, in Northwest D.C., at gunpoint Sunday night.
The crime occurred at about 8:10 p.m. in the 4300 block of Yuma Street NW.
The teens knocked at the door. When the victim opened the door, the teens walked in and demanded cash. They made off with about $500.
"I'm horrified. Scares me to death," one neighbor said.
Police are encouraging residents to install security cameras.
