15-Year-Old Killed in Southeast

Man also wounded in shooting

DC police are scouring surveillance video taken at a southeast Washington apartment complex in the hope of  finding the gunman who killed a 15-year-old boy.

Shots rang out at an apartment complex in the 4300 block of Fourth Street at about 10:30 p.m. Thursday.  When police arrived, they found two people, 15-year-old Cinquan Tinker and a man in his 40s suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

Cinquan died at the scene and the other victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Investigators don't have much to go on and are hoping that nearby security cameras may have caught something on tape, police said.

There was a shooting at that same location the previous night, police said.  No one was injured in that incident, and it is unclear if there is any connection with Thursday night's deadly shooting.

This is the third 15-year-old killed on D.C. streets in just the past few months.
