Vice Principal Camps on School's Roof to Raise Money for Teachers

FORT WASHINGTON, Md. -- The vice principal of National Christian Academy in Fort Washington is camping on the school's roof in a stunt to raise money for teachers.

Michael Haynesworth said finances are tight for teachers, who lost Christmas bonuses this year and most take one furlough day without pay every month beginning in January.

Haynesworth plans to stay on the roof for 10 days.

He decided to go with an extreme stunt to increase awareness of the problems the school's teachers are facing, he said.
