Michael Jackson Announces His ‘Final Curtain Call' In London

Michael Jackson told fans in London on Thursday that his days performing live are drawing to a close.

Thousands of Jackson fans showed up to hear the pop star's concert announcement at London's 02 arena, where he'll perform his final set of concerts in the British capital.

"Thank you all," Jackson told the crowd. "This is it! [These] will be my final show performances in London."

Jackson went on to stress how the run of shows truly would be his last live sets in London.

"These will be it, this is it," he continued. "When I say 'this is it,' I really mean this is it. I'll see you in July."

"I love you," he told the cheering crowd of fans.

Jackson is scheduled to perform for 10 nights in London beginning on July 8. His last tour and studio album were in 2001.
