Maybe That Gibbard-Farrar Show Wasn't Such a Bad Idea

The idea of alt-country icon Jay Farrar and Death Cab for Snoozie frontman Ben Gibbard sharing the stage at 9:30 Club -- after sharing the soundtrack of the upcoming Jack Kerouac movie -- made me kind of sad. Good and evil united, like when Len Bias was drafted by the Boston Celtics.

But maybe I shouldn't be so hard on Gibbard. His cover of Tom Waits' "Old Shoes," posted on YouTube last week, sounds pretty good.
